WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT OUR BLACK BELT INSTRUCTORS
All of our black belts have trained at Corral’s Martial Arts from white belt through black belt and are registered members with International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). These are important aspects for teaching a consistent curriculum to our students, as well as instruction by practitioners experienced in competing at tournaments. In addition to providing expert technical instruction, safety is always kept in mind and all instructors are CPR certified and undergo background screenings through SSCI, Southeastern Security Consultants, Inc., who specialize in background screenings for youth sports organizations. Corral’s Martial Arts is a family friendly environment and many of the instructors’ children and spouses also train with us.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT OUR TEAM COACHES
Coaches at Corral’s Martial Arts are selected from our team because of their work ethic, technical ability and their unique leadership skills. Our coaches motivate adults and kids to be their personal best, while demonstrating respect to teammates. Many of our coaches have coaching/team experience with athletics. They have demonstrated a proficiency in learning technique and being able to teach these skills to their teammates, as well as establishing a mentor connection to the students they instruct. Coaches attend competitions with the adults and kids for full and constant support. Consistency and familiarity are important factors in how children best succeed in any sport or activity. Our coaches have been part of the Corral’s Martial Arts team for several years and continue to train as part of their team, while offering time on the mat in the coaching role.
